About Matthew
Matthew is a post-secondary student studying classical guitar at the University of
Victoria. Classically trained on guitar, he also plays other instruments including
piano, ukulele and bass. His experience extends to studio recording and songwriting, giving him a
well-rounded musical background.

Isaac Kwiatkowski
Isaac is a fiery musician with 10 years of professional performance experience who has been instrumental in the formation of several successful musical groups in London, ON, and Victoria, BC (where he lives currently). Isaac studied classical saxophone and piano at Western University along with the London Music Conservatory. He later branched out into a highly improvisatory and energetic jazz-funk style intended to entrance live audiences in popular music settings.

Lauren Steinmann
About Lauren
Lauren (she/her) has been making music since childhood, and today she shares that same joy
with her students through singing, piano, and ukulele. With a background in musical theatre
and choir, she brings a playful, adventurous energy to lessons while also grounding students
in ear training and musical fundamentals. Beyond teaching, Lauren performs, writes, and
collaborates with fellow musicians, and has even produced and acted in her own plays,
including shows at the Fringe Festival—experiences that enrich her creative approach to

Brian Whitman started playing piano at the age of five, taking his first lessons with his dad.
Fifteen years later, music remains one of his greatest passions, alongside astronomy and
reading the classics. He began teaching during high school, offering piano lessons to

Hannah Nickel grew up surrounded by music. Her parents fueled her interest and love of the arts being musicians and singers themselves, and supported her through years of various music lessons and extra curricular activities. I wear many hats in my life. I’m a father, a husband, a musician, a band leader/manager, a board member for the Victoria BC Ska and Reggae Society, and I’m now adding local business owner to the mix. One role that I’ve played for the past 17 years is that of a music teacher.
