YourTunes Musical Beginnings

In this series of classes we encourage elementary students local to Victoria to explore various instruments and work together to find their favorite sounds. The YourPlace Music Teacher will then record these small soundbites and mix them into short collaborative songs available online for all to hear. The whole class feels a sense of ownership as they work to build these recordings together. 

Children will also develop essential musical skills through fun games and activities. This will give them a head start to develop a good ear to recognize musical sounds, encourage musical expression and nurture an ability to interact musically with others. 

The Music Masters

Tillicum Elementary Grade 4 Fall 2024 YourTunes Musical Beginnings is a fun and interactive program where children explore instruments, collaborate to create short songs, and develop essential musical skills through engaging games and activities. At YourPlace Music School in Victoria, B.C., we bring music lessons directly to you—offering both in-person and online lessons taught by university-educated teachers for a variety of instruments. The Random and Evil Kids

In spring of 2024, a band was made by the Grade 2 after school music class in Tillicum Elementary. They're kooky, talented and above all randomly evil!
