Leah Cook

Leah creates a welcoming, engaging learning environment where her students can become confident in their musical abilities. She was born and raised in California, moving to Victoria to pursue a bachelors in Voice at the University of Victoria, with a focus on performance. Her years of experience in music led her to play guitar in a musical theatre pit band, sing in various honor choirs and perform in high-level voice and jazz ensembles. She is a two-time nominee for Orange County’s Artist of the Year award for her studies in jazz and bossa nova. Her performance experience in both formal settings and less-formal bands allows her to teach students a variety of styles and techniques, along with stage presence when performing and audition coaching. Whether her students are interested in singing pop, jazz, classical, Broadway tunes or singer-songwriter favorites, Leah’s knowledge of instrumentation and voice will guide them to a result they will be proud of. The bottom line is that Leah wants her students to have fun, learn technical skills and achieve their musical goals.
