Michael Huerta

Michaels's skill as a musician and teacher comes from his positive attitude and his ability to make music fun and engaging. His approach to teaching focuses on feel, listening, and learning the technical skills to play the music that inspires each student. With 17 years of performing experience and a bachelor's in jazz, Michael draws from a deep well of musical knowledge to help students build confidence, develop musicianship, and find their “voice” as a musician. Above all, Michael believes music should be inspiring, rewarding, and something students look forward to every week. Michael is an excellent teacher who works with students of all ages, meeting them where they are and helping them achieve their musical goals. Lessons are available throughout the Greater Victoria area and from his private music studio in the Gorge.
