Matthew’s students get a solid introduction to music no matter where they’re coming from. Whether it's adults or kids, guitar or piano, structured routines or high-energy engagement, Matthew meets them where they are. Students feel like music is easy with Matthew as he makes connection points that are relevant and age appropriate.

With over a decade of guitar experience rooted in blues and branching into rock, punk, funk and pop, Matthew brings a wide musical toolkit to every lesson. He got his start on piano and has spent time with saxophone, choir and musical theatre, giving him the range to connect with students no matter what sparks their interest. His approach is to ground students in the fundamentals of whatever genre excites them, then hand them the tools to start creating on their own.
