Matthew Hadfield

Matt (he/him) has been playing guitar for over 10 years, focusing on building a strong blues base to expand his repertoire to include rock, punk, ska, funk and pop. He got his start on piano, and has also spent time playing tenor saxophone, as well as singing in choir, jazz, and musical theatre settings. Matt’s approach to teaching starts with using the students' interests to guide his lessons. Then, he focuses on helping students understand the fundamentals of the genre and giving them tools so they can start to implement their own ideas. He has experience with teaching both children and adults, and is looking to help foster a love of music and help his students access this amazing creative outlet.
