Tina Wang

Tina believes every child is naturally musical - they just need the right space to explore, feel confident, and have fun. She began learning piano and singing at age five and grew up in a very musical home. Her mother was the lead violinist (concert master) of an orchestra, so music was part of everyday family life. This early experience shaped Tina’s lifelong love of music and her gentle, encouraging teaching style. Tina later earned a Master’s Degree in Music Education and holds professional piano examiner teaching certification from the Royal Conservatory of Music in both the UK and Canada. She has many years of experience teaching young children, leading children’s music workshops for nearly a decade and working as a preschool music teacher. Through songs, movement, and storytelling, she helps children build confidence, coordination, and creativity while developing strong musical foundations. Now based in Victoria, BC, Tina is also studying in the Early Learning and Care program at Camosun College, which means she understands not only music - but also how young children grow, learn, and express themselves. She combines professional music training with knowledge of child development to create lessons that are age-appropriate, playful, and supportive.
